Bailey D. Barnes

Bailey joined Galligan & Newman in 2021 and primarily practices in the areas of personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, civil rights, and complex civil litigation. Bailey is a published legal and historical scholar with publications in respected journals including the Tennessee Bar Journal, Tennessee Historical Quarterly, Creighton Law Review, Dartmouth Law Journal, Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, Boston University Public Interest Law Journal, Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender and Social Justice, Journal of East Tennessee History, University of New Hampshire Law Review, and Maine Law Review.

Bailey is a lifelong resident of Warren County. His father owns and operates a local nursery, and his mother is a teacher at West Elementary in McMinnville. Bailey lives in Rock Island with his wife, Larissa, and their energetic Australian Shepherd, Benji. Bailey enjoys spending time with his family, rooting for the Boston Celtics, Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Titians, reading, writing, and traveling.
